What is Mockup?
A Mockup is a refined stage in the design process, falling between a low-fidelity Wireframe and a fully interactive High-Fidelity Prototype. It is typically created in Figma and used for client approval of the look and feel before interactivity is added.
Why Mockups Matter in the Design Process?
Mockups ensure the visual design is finalized and signed off before the more labor-intensive Prototyping and Frontend Development stages begin.
- Aesthetic Approval: They provide a clear visual standard for the client and team to review against the Brand Identity.
- Visual Check: Allows for validation of Visual Hierarchy and responsiveness on different screen sizes (Viewport).
- Blueprint: They become the visual guide for the Webflow developer, ensuring a Pixel Perfect build.
Example from Flowtrix Projects
In our Figma design phase, we present detailed Mockups to finalize the visual aesthetic and Brand Identity before proceeding to High-Fidelity Prototype creation. This step ensures the design vision, including the application of Color Theory and Graphic Design, is locked in, providing a clean, approved blueprint for our Pixel Perfect Webflow development.
